Design and manufacture of the mobile units takes place in our modern assembly plant in Pretoria, South Africa.
This facility has 15 production lines and produces Mobile Medical Units, Ambulance, Busses, Mini Busses and Police vehicles. Engineering staff work together with clients in order to manufacture to the clients specification, thus ensuring enhanced performance in its function.
Vehicle selection is based upon the requirements of the client and can vary from a small panel van for use by one or two staff, to larger 4 or 5 ton vehicles, or bus type configuration. Most importantly attention is given to the availability of after sales back up and service in the specific country of destination.
Due to the mainly poor infrastructure and road surfaces in most parts of rural Africa, the 4x4 configuration is used more frequently. All our products are SABS approved and Homologated in terms of the South African Road Traffic Act. Specific Units cover the following however any configuration can be manufactured.
Basic Health, Education, HIV/AIDS, Eye clinic, Operating Theater, Maternity care, Child and Infant care (for Malaria and Tuberculosis control), Doctors examination rooms, Medicine dispensary, Pharmacist dispensary.
Medifit has clients in most countries in Africa as well as France, Saudi Arabia, USA, and Turkey and is capable of supplying quality equipment to countries world wide.

LAFARGE CEMENT COMPANY ZAMBIA, as part of their social responsibility program recently made a donation of a Mitsubishi Fuso FG-6-106 4x4 Mobile Health Unit to the “Doctors Outreach Care International” operating in Zambia, and in addition they sponsored a Toyota Quantum Ambulance for use by one of the clinics.
These doctors and technicians provide a range of medical and health services to the most isolated parts of this vast country, and it is our goal to ensure they are provided with the best equipment for this task.
Without the assistance of companies like LAFARGE CEMENT this vital program could not be possible.
Dr Peter Piot UNAIDS several years ago said, “Investment in Africa will be repaid a thousand fold in saved lives, communities held together and economies preserved”
